Milešovka hill with its altitude of 837mts above sea lvl represents the highest hill of České středohoří.
Úštěk is well known for its traditional fair and the town itself is the smallest Czech Urban Preservation Area with beautiful historical centre.
It is called church with leaning tower. During the bombardment of the town in 1945 the foundation of the tower has been damaged and the tower tilted from vertival axis for almost 2mts, and because of that it’s now the leanest tower in the region north from the Alpes. First documented note about this church originated in 1249. During the Hussite wars the church was damaged and following renovation lasted till 1530. Present condition dates back to 19th century when the church was rebuilt to the Gothic-Revival Style by architect J. Mocker. The most impressive part of this site is a late-gothic altar from 1498, originating from church in Pirně. Nowadays the church is surrounded by a modern Forum shopping centre. Millennial history meets the contemporaneousness here.
