Milešovka hill with its altitude of 837mts above sea lvl represents the highest hill of České středohoří.
Úštěk is well known for its traditional fair and the town itself is the smallest Czech Urban Preservation Area with beautiful historical centre.
Its silhouette has been a symbol of Ústí nad Labem over the centuries. It was founded in 14th century when Czech king Jan Lucemburský decided to ensure the security of Elbe’s sailing and toll collection. The castle has changed many owners, recently its possession with surrounding estates and forests belongs to the house of Lobkowicz. During the romantic period in the 19th century the castle inspired Czech poet K.H.Mácha or German composer Richard Wagner.
