Porta Bohemica by bike and boat

From Ústí nad Labem, we recommend starting in the morning or early afternoon. The Elbe Trail will take you about 25 km. You will pass under the Střekov Castle, through the beautiful Porta Bohemica valley and past the Žernosec vineyards. It is about an hour and a half to Litoměřice and the trip is also suitable for families with children. Just watch out for the rough terrain in Sebuzín and near Žalhostice. In Litoměřice, you can park your bicycle in the bike garage and go sightseeing in the historic town. Visit the Kalich lookout, Dome Square with St. Stephen's Cathedral or buy some delicious local wine in the wine tavern on the square. In summer, you can also take advantage of the Church Sightseeing Tour. You can have lunch at the Bishop's Brewery at St. Stephen's or at the Town Hall Cellar. And then it's off to the dock. Boat line 91 departs from the dock at Lodní náměstí (check the timetable in the appendix below - it varies according to the month and day of the week) A pleasant cruise with a beautiful view and refreshments on board takes just over two hours.

Ústí n. L. centre - Ústí n. L. Vaňov - Dolní Zálezly - Libochovany - Velké Žernoseky - Píšt'any - Lovosice - Litoměřice - Nučnice - Libotenice - Roudnice n. L. - Štětí - Mělník

Take a boat trip through the Porta Bohemica valley, around the Žernosce vineyards or to the royal town of Litoměřice. Regular Saturday cruises will take you to Roudnice nad Labem and Sunday cruises will take you from Litoměřice via Štětí to Mělník.

This year, the ship will set sail on 29 March and will make its last cruise on 2 November 2025. From March, it departs only on weekends, from June also on Tuesdays and Fridays, and from the holidays every day except Mondays.

GOOD TO KNOW
In case of water level of the Elbe below the lock in Ústí nad Labem below 150 cm, an alternative bus service is provided in the section Ústí n.L. centre - Ústí n.L. Vaňov according to the valid timetables.

The navigation of the ship, i.e. possible delays and cancellations, depends on the navigation conditions, in particular on the guaranteed water level at the Ústí nad Labem water point (www.pla.cz).
