Litoměřice Castle and the Exhibition on Wine-producing

Between 2007 and 2011, the former Gothic castle was costly reconstructed and rebuilt under the working title "The Shrine of Czech Winemaking". The result is a multifunctional space, which includes a revitalized courtyard and an administrative building. The mission of Litoměřice Castle is, among other things, to spread the wine-growing tradition of the region, which dates back to the time of King Charles IV. The wines are preserved in the ideal conditions of the cellars, which are connected to the tasting room with original stone tiles and vaulted ceilings. Thanks to the modern conference hall with preserved Gothic artefacts, Litoměřice is becoming a centre of congress tourism. The castle was named the building of the year of the Ústí nad Labem Region in 2013.

The heart of Litoměřice Castle is the wine exhibition, which contains a cross-section of the history of Czech winemaking. Impressive are not only the large-format photographs, but also the narration of Charles IV (3D display) about the local vineyards.

Children up to 140cm height free of charge

Exposition tour with tasting/tasting of 5 samples of Czech wines - on request with a minimum of 8 persons: 170 CZK/person

Mon-Fri 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (lunch break 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm)
weekends - during the summer season

You can also visit the tasting room with its original stone paving and vaulted ceilings adjacent to the cellar, which houses the wine archive.

Facilities for events and conferences

The castle has a modern conference hall with preserved Gothic artefacts. The foyer also serves as an exhibition hall. The lounge with the historic monument chapel offers attractive spaces. The castle includes a stylish wine bar.
