Ferry Dolní Žleb

The ferry in Dolní Žleb is the northernmost and lowest ferry in the Czech Republic. It connects the most remote part of Děčín with the right bank and is widely used not only by locals but also by tourists. The western wharf is near the Dolní Žleb railway station, the eastern wharf by the road between Hřensko and Děčín.

The ferry is operated on an unregulated section of the river Elbe, where the level fluctuates continuously depending on hydrological conditions. In general, the ferry is operational if the water level on the water meter in Ústí nad Labem is in the range from 160 to 300 cm. Otherwise, the ferry is out of order.

The ferry runs all year round and transports pedestrians, cyclists, but also vehicles up to 12 tons in weight.
