The Enchanted Forest was created in 1974 by Jaroslav Sekyra, who produced and placed around 130 wooden fairytale characters in the forest. To this day, around a third of them have survived. After 2008, the site was revitalised and, in 2011, ten new characters were added. It is now a popular place for families with children.
The excursion route starts on Čapkova Street, on the outskirts of the town of Bílina. Children can delight in characters such as Krtek, Rumcajs, Bob and Bobek, among many others. The main route is about 1 kilometre long, but you can take a longer circular route by following the yellow markings. Along the way, you'll find a very pleasant viewpoint with an observation point and a breathtaking view of Bořní Hill.
