At 21:00 an unusual and absolutely extraordinary musical treat is prepared for cultural connoisseurs. Weather and other circumstances permitting, two pianos will be set up in the courtyard of the castle, with two phenomenal pianists - Prof. Ivan Klánský and his student Michal Mašek. Together they will play two Mozart sonatas KV 448 in D major and KV 545 in C major. The latter was completed by Mozart in 1788 and is known as Facile. In 1877, the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg added a part for second piano to this sonata, creating a work of a new dimension, quite unique in piano literature. But this is not the end of the list of Mozart's music.
"...With his mastery of the instrument, musical expression and virtuosity, Professor Ivan Klánský ranks among the world's top performers. He is also known among musicians as a man with a phenomenal memory for timetables or as an excellent chess player or car racer. During his studies, he participated in a huge number of world piano competitions and won as many prizes as no other Czech performer has ever managed to do..."
