Milešovka hill with its altitude of 837mts above sea lvl represents the highest hill of České středohoří.
Úštěk is well known for its traditional fair and the town itself is the smallest Czech Urban Preservation Area with beautiful historical centre.
The route starts in Budyně nad Ohri at water castle. The castle attracts with its laboratory of Renaissance alchemists plus stuffed crocodile, which was imported from Egypt. The route goes to the chateau of Libochovice. The chateau is one of the most important early Baroque buildings in Bohemia, you can visit there also a beautiful English park. Then the route goes to the ruins of a Gothic castle Házmburk and further to Třebenice city, which is important mainly for its museum of Czech garnets. From Třebenice you can go to the ruins of Košťálov castle. The route then takes us to the chateau Skalka. It was founded as a noble castle, but after devastation it was rebuilt to the Baroque chateau. You can look forward to other ruins of castles such as Oltářík, Ostrý and Oparno. From Oparno you will get to the ferry near Malé Žernoseky. This is so-called western shoulder of "Golden Path of the land of castles", which eastern part between the ferry in Velké Žernoseky, Třebušín and Úštěk exists since 2012. P>
